We took a drive around town yesterday and found more signs of spring. The Dogwoods are starting to bloom, but not the pretty ones yet.
Poppies
Camilla's
Magnolias
Yaupon Holly
Swans
Today is cooler and windy. It’s after noon and only 60 degrees. I would love some more 70 degree days.

BEAUTIFUL! Thanks for sharing! It's been in the 50's and 60's here so we're able to get some things done outside. Today I cleaned the leaves out of the pool. Barry started working on our little shed that we're remodeling - new roof and siding.

Connie, I always think of you when I take these pictures, because I know you'll appreciate them!
I'm glad your weather is warming up..it's been a long winter!
Thanks, Karen! I enjoy all your pics....the bird ones are cool, too. The one of your cat was cute. We have four inside and three outside. Keeps me stepping!
I think spring time in the south must be awesome! Are those "steel magnolias?" LOL
Great photos once again.
Margie,
I am continually amazed how beautiful spring is here. This is our 4th spring here and I'm still impressed! It was nothing like this in Tampa.
The peak season hasn't even started yet. Can't wait for the Wisteria and Dogwood. Wish I could put the fragrances on the blog! Wisteria are so fragrant and beautiful!
Were those swan pics taken on your property? We see lots of blue heron at our DE property when we're there during the summer. Imagine our surprise when they show up here in PA on our property on our millrace and stream!
Also, is that a stack of firewood in the one pic?
Connie
Connie,
No, these last pictures were not taken on our property. We just took a drive to see the blooms.
The place with the swans is a beautiful property. It's always beautifully maintained and is loaded with beautiful flowers and trees. The swans have babies every year. We go by there often. They have a lot more money than we do :)
We get a few Blue Herons in our pond. They eat the frogs. We had them constantly in the Tampa house. We had a pond in the back and the Herons and Egrets would fight and make all kinds of racket. They're pretty but they eat baby birds and that angers me!
Thanks, Karen! Hey, I'm writing back to tell you that my crocuses are blooming! I just noticed that this morning when I was working out in my flowerbeds. HEEHAW! Oh, and also I saw wasps and honeybees today, too!!!!!
Connie,
I'm jealous! I love Crocus! I planted a bunch when we first moved up here, but they never came up.
Now you'll have to start taking pictures for me!
Bees and wasps...pollinating the flowers... I saw a butterfly today. I didn't realize until I saw it that I hadn't seen one for quite a while!
