Birds

Yesterday it rained quite a while and our poor birds were pitiful, so we put some birdseed on the porches so that they would be able to get a bite to eat without getting wet!

It was funny watching them through the windows.

We ended up getting 1 1/2 inches of rain and it was pretty soggy around here.

It's enjoyable to see your bird photos. That cardinal looks like it is having a bad hair day. I'm learning the names of birds from reading your blog.

Margie, I'm glad you're learning about birds. They are pretty remarkable little creatures and have so much personality. It's amazing how different the different types of birds are.

Karen, we have the same birds at our feeders here in PA. I can't get close enough though to take pics so I really enjoy yours when you post.

It's starting to snow - AGAIN - and the birds are really chirping and singing.

Our four inside cats are sitting at the windows looking out and they're chattering (clicking their front teeth) at the birds. Too cute!

Connie,
I'm glad you enjoy the bird pictures. We do love our birds and we have a LOT of them.

Our cats enjoy watching the birds too. I know exactly the sound you're talking about when they chatter.

You just need to get you a camera with a good zoom lens. My pictures aren't all that close either, I just zoom in!
