Birds

It has been raining all day with temps at 41 currently.
Snow is still predicted once the cold front moves in.  It’s certainly too warm for snow right now.
As usual when it rains, we have a LOT of hungry birds.
Here are a few Goldfinches.  They winter here but leave during breeding season.  When they are here they have their winter feathers which are mostly grey.  They are just starting to get yellow and about the time they leave, they will be very yellow!  I think it’s kind of rude of them to pig out all winter, and leave just when they are getting real pretty!

A female Cardinal posed nicely.  I was taking these pictures through a window. I was inside nice and dry and the birds were out in the rain.
