The Deep Freeze Continues

This morning was the coldest so far.  Our thermometer read 18 degrees.  They said Tallahassee was 15 degrees and they are about 50 miles south of us.

There is a nice coat of frost on the grass which makes it look a little like snow.

They are saying this is the 10th day in a row below freezing.  The record freeze days was back in 1966 where we went 13 days in a row with freezing temps.

Karen, I enjoy reading blogs on these cold winter PA days. I especially love your pictures - the ones of your yard, birds, and animals. What for camera do you use?

Thanks Connie! I do enjoy taking pictures of nature!

The camera I use is an Olympus C-750 Ultra zoom. It has 4 megapixal and a BIG zoom lens, which is the secret to good pictures...in my opinion. They don't make the camera anymore, but their newest version is a 590 ultra zoom (I think) I was glad they still made the ultra zoom because mine has got to be ending it's natural life since I've taken so many pictures!

Are you guys in PA now or traveling?

Karen, not traveling, we're at home in PA. We've been busy getting everything ready to host our local Rotary Exchange student who is from Brazil. Our family is so excited because we also hosted his dad 30 years ago!
